Living in Oman

Oman is an attractive place to live and work as it has relatively high earning potential and low taxes. It is one of the safest countries in the Middle East and has developed significantly over the past 30 years to become a modern, cosmopolitan country. Over a quarter of Oman's population are expats, so you won't be short of people to meet and things to do. Local people in Oman are used to foreigners so are welcoming and friendly, however it is still a strictly Muslim country, so expats must be careful to respect local laws and customs. Oman has a year-round hot climate, with maximum temperatures peaking at 50°C in the hot season.
