Living in Argentina

Argentina is an attractive place to live and work because of its relatively low cost of living. It is the second-largest country in Latin America, and the largest Spanish-speaking country in the world. Because of its massive area, it is home to a range of climates, with almost Antarctic conditions in the south. The capital, Buenos Aires, on the other hand, has a humid subtropical climate with warm summers and mild winters. Expats arriving into Buenos Aires are unlikely to experience much culture shock, because of the multicultural atmosphere and European-style shopping centres and café culture. However, outside of the big cities, the cultural differences are more pronounced, and expats require a working knowledge of Spanish to be able to communicate.
