Living in Peru

Peru is an attractive place to work because of its low cost of living, however it is a developing country and does not have all modern amenities such as public transport. The capital, Lima, is the most modern city and has an impressive mixture of colonial and contemporary architecture. The climate varies widely according to location, but most parts of Peru benefit from a warm summer and cool winter, with lower temperatures on higher ground.

Visas and Medical

Visa requirements vary by country. For information see http://www.expatperu.com/vrequirements.php Peru's public healthcare can be of a questionable standard, so it's advisable to take out private health insurance. Many international schools offer this as part of their benefits package.
