How do I apply or sign up?<\/em><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simply share your details via the link below, and one of our team members will be in touch with you shortly to guide you through the next steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>3. Is there an onboarding or training process?<\/em><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. Can a school have more than one ambassador?<\/em><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, a school can have multiple ambassadors. It often works best when they represent different areas of the school, such as primary and secondary, so that together they can share a broader range of experiences and perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>5. What are ambassadors expected to do?<\/em><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ambassadors are not recruiters. Instead, you\u2019ll provide a short testimonial about your school and answer a few FAQ-style community questions, which will be published on your school\u2019s page. These two tasks will take less than an hour of your time to complete. Then you can choose to join networking events, professional development sessions, host meetups, or even deliver workshops if you wish. Nothing is mandatory, and you\u2019re free to step back when school life gets busy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>6. What if English isn&#8217;t my first language?<\/em><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You&#8217;re very welcome in the network. English is the shared language we use for group events and chats, so working English is enough to take part fully. What matters most is your real experience of your school and your willingness to share it, not perfect grammar. Many of our ambassadors speak English as a second, third, or fourth language. You can also connect with educators who share another language with you, including in our regional and WeChat communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>7. Do I need to be at my school for a minimum time, or what if I change schools?<\/em><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s helpful to have been at your school for a couple of months so you can share authentic experiences, but there is no strict minimum. We do ask that you represent your school positively, complete your contract, and let us know if your circumstances change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>8. Are there resources or toolkits available for ambassadors?<\/em><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. We provide access to an Ambassador Resource Hub containing past professional development recordings, LinkedIn resources, and newsletters to support your role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>9. Is there a community space to connect with other ambassadors?<\/em><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Absolutely! Teacher Horizons hosts a Community Networking platform, and we also have dedicated WhatsApp and WeChat groups where ambassadors can connect, share ideas, and collaborate with peers in their region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>10. Is this a paid role or voluntary, and what recognition do ambassadors receive?<\/em><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a voluntary role designed to foster connection and professional learning, but ambassadors are recognised through LinkedIn support, optional banners and email footers, and the opportunity to highlight their contributions publicly. After graduating from Durham University, she began her career as a secondary school teacher in London, where she also completed an MSc in Globalisation and Development Studies at SOAS. She has worked in India and East Africa, including leading an international school in Uganda. She is particularly interested in teacher development and creative approaches to education. Most of all she values talking to teachers, sharing ideas, and learning what works in schools around the world.
