Who are TH Ambassadors?
Teacher Horizons Ambassadors are passionate educators who represent their schools and champion international education. They share trusted insights into what it’s like to work at their school and live in their city, helping prospective candidates make informed decisions. Ambassadors also collaborate with a global network of educators, contributing valuable feedback and ideas to shape the future of the international school sector.

What happens after you apply?
Complete the form above. You will be contacted via email within two weeks. Then you’ll be invited to a welcome call to understand more about the role. To onboard, you will be asked to complete two compulsory tasks (a short testimonial and some FAQ community questions). Once complete, you will be given access to the Ambassador Network and you can start connecting. This whole process can take around 3-4 weeks, although it is often quicker.

1. Who can join the Ambassador Network?
Anyone working in international education at a school listed on our schools page can join, provided you are positive about your school, your school values you, you intend to complete your contract, and you are keen to be part of a global network of educators seeking professional development opportunities.
2. How do I apply or sign up?
Simply share your details via the link below, and one of our team members will be in touch with you shortly to guide you through the next steps.
3. Is there an onboarding or training process?
Yes. Once accepted, you’ll be invited to an onboarding video call where the role will be explained in detail and you can ask questions; after that, you’ll complete two short compulsory tasks (a testimonial and some FAQs) to officially join the network.
4. Can a school have more than one ambassador?
Yes, a school can have multiple ambassadors. It often works best when they represent different areas of the school, such as primary and secondary, so that together they can share a broader range of experiences and perspectives.
5. What are ambassadors expected to do?
Ambassadors are not recruiters. Instead, you’ll provide a short testimonial about your school and answer a few FAQ-style community questions, which will be published on your school’s page. These two tasks will take less than an hour of your time to complete. Then you can choose to join networking events, professional development sessions, host meetups, or even deliver workshops if you wish. Nothing is mandatory, and you’re free to step back when school life gets busy.
6. What if English isn’t my first language?
You’re very welcome in the network. English is the shared language we use for group events and chats, so working English is enough to take part fully. What matters most is your real experience of your school and your willingness to share it, not perfect grammar. Many of our ambassadors speak English as a second, third, or fourth language. You can also connect with educators who share another language with you, including in our regional and WeChat communities.
7. Do I need to be at my school for a minimum time, or what if I change schools?
It’s helpful to have been at your school for a couple of months so you can share authentic experiences, but there is no strict minimum. We do ask that you represent your school positively, complete your contract, and let us know if your circumstances change.
8. Are there resources or toolkits available for ambassadors?
Yes. We provide access to an Ambassador Resource Hub containing past professional development recordings, LinkedIn resources, and newsletters to support your role.
9. Is there a community space to connect with other ambassadors?
Absolutely! Teacher Horizons hosts a Community Networking platform, and we also have dedicated WhatsApp and WeChat groups where ambassadors can connect, share ideas, and collaborate with peers in their region.
10. Is this a paid role or voluntary, and what recognition do ambassadors receive?
This is a voluntary role designed to foster connection and professional learning, but ambassadors are recognised through LinkedIn support, optional banners and email footers, and the opportunity to highlight their contributions publicly. You will also receive a School Ambassador badge on your Teacher Horizons profile.

Alice has nearly 20 years’ experience in education. After graduating from Durham University, she began her career as a secondary school teacher in London, where she also completed an MSc in Globalisation and Development Studies at SOAS. She has worked in India and East Africa, including leading an international school in Uganda. She is particularly interested in teacher development and creative approaches to education. Most of all she values talking to teachers, sharing ideas, and learning what works in schools around the world. Alice enjoys riding horses, reading a good novel, exploring new places locally and travelling.
