Overview: These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website www.teacherhorizons.com (“the Website”). By accessing and using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must refrain from using the Website. The Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Teacher Horizons Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 7544936) (“Teacher Horizons,” “we,” or “us”).
1. Definitions
1.1 “Teacher Horizons” refers to Teacherhorizons Ltd.
1.2 “Candidate” means any individual introduced by Teacher Horizons to the Client for employment purposes, including permanent, fixed-term, or temporary positions.
1.3 “Client” means the individual or organisation within an international school to whom a Candidate is introduced.
1.4 “Introduce” means the provision of information about a Candidate by Teacher Horizons to the Client, whether written, oral, or via the Website.
1.5 “Regulations” refers to the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003, as amended.
1.6 “Terms of Business” refers to these Terms, including any documents issued pursuant to them and any agreed variations.
1.7 References to the singular include the plural, and references to the masculine include all genders and vice versa.
2. General
2.1 A Candidate is deemed introduced to the Client when Teacher Horizons provides any information about the Candidate. If the Client is already in contact with the Candidate, the Client must notify Teacher Horizons within 72 hours, excluding weekends and bank holidays, otherwise, the introduction shall be deemed effective.
3. Acceptance of Terms
3.1 These Terms of Business are deemed accepted by the Client upon using any of Teacher Horizons’ services.
4. Teacher Horizons Explorer Service
4.1 The Client will be invoiced £1,295 for each teacher hire and £2,995 for each middle or senior leader hire made through the Explorer service, provided that Teacher Horizons is notified within ten days of the Candidate accepting the position.
4.2 If the Client fails to notify Teacher Horizons within ten days, the Client will be invoiced for the full Global hire fee (£2,495 for teacher hires and £6,995 for senior leader hires)
4.3 The Client is responsible for its access to the website and must not share login details outside its HR and recruitment team. The Client must also update login details if a team member leaves the organisation.
4.4 The Client must keep Teacher Horizons informed on all progress with Candidates and copy Teacher Horizons on all emails to Candidates.
5. Teacher Horizons Global Service
5.1 Fees for the Teacher Horizons Global service will be charged at the rate agreed with the school and vary depending on the role, location, and services required. This rate can be confirmed either through email or in a signed contract.
5.2 The Client must notify Teacher Horizons within 72 hours if they appoint a Candidate introduced by Teacher Horizons
5.3 Affiliate Membership of Teacher Horizons is free and includes a school profile page and support from an Adviser. To qualify for Affiliate Membership, the Client’s profile page must be completed to at least 88%.
5.4 Active Membership with Teacher Horizons is £695 and includes priority marketing, a data insight report, free boosted adverts, and discounts on our events and services. The membership will automatically renew one year after confirmation.
5.5 Teacher Horizons reserves the right to alter fee levels and will notify the Client in writing if appropriate.
5.6 Upon verbal or written confirmation of the role, the Senior Leadership Search and Advertising fee shall be invoiced and payment is due within seven days. In the event that the role is filled through alternative means or is no longer active after the date of confirmation, the invoiced amount shall remain due and payable. Teacher Horizons reserves the right to withdraw the role if payment is not received within seven days.
6. Payment of Fees
6.1 If the Client fails to pay the agreed fee within 30 days, Teacher Horizons reserves the right to reissue the invoice for the full Global fee. A reminder will be issued when the invoice is overdue, and a new invoice will be issued if payment is not made within seven days.
6.2 Payments made by debit or credit card will incur an administrative fee of 3% of the total invoice value.
6.3 If the Client requests additional paperwork from Teacher Horizons to facilitate fee payment, an additional fee of £100 will be added to the administrative fee.
7. References and Suitability
7.1 The Client is responsible for checking and confirming references, qualifications, and necessary background checks, and must satisfy itself as to the suitability of any Candidate.
7.2 The Client is responsible for obtaining work permits, medical clearances, and other necessary paperwork and authorisations required by law for the Candidate’s employment.
7.3 Teacher Horizons makes no express or implied warranties regarding the suitability of any Candidate and shall not be liable for any losses or damages incurred by the Client arising from the recruitment or engagement of a Candidate.
8. Refunds and Rebates
8.1 If a Candidate hired through Teacher Horizons’ Global service fails to commence employment or leaves within 12 weeks, the Client must notify Teacher Horizons in writing within one week of the Candidate’s departure to be eligible for a rebate of up to 50% of the recruitment fee.
8.2 No rebate will be granted unless the recruitment fee and all other fees have been paid in full, written notice is provided within seven working days, the termination is not due to redundancy, and the Client agrees not to re-engage the Candidate within 12 months.
8.3 No rebates will be provided if the school rescinds the contractual agreement after execution, or if the candidate cannot commence employment due to a visa rejection.
8.4 In the event of a force majeure situation, including but not limited to war, terrorism, natural disasters, or other unforeseeable events, that prevents the Candidate from relocating to the specified location, Teacher Horizons shall remain entitled to payment for all services rendered up to the moment the force majeure event occurs.
9. Confidentiality and Data Protection
9.1 The introduction of a Candidate is confidential, and the Client must not introduce the Candidate to any third party. Breach of this obligation will result in the Client being liable for the full recruitment fee.
9.3 If a Candidate is introduced to the Client and is not hired within two calendar months, the Client agrees to delete all records and data related to that candidate, including their name and email address, from their systems and databases.
9.2 The Client and Teacher Horizons will use and process personal data only for recruitment purposes and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations.
10. Safeguarding
10.1 Teacher Horizons is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All reasonable measures should be taken by The Client to ensure compliance with international safeguarding standards.
10.2 In exceptional circumstances where a safeguarding concern is identified, we reserve the right to seek advice or share information with the appropriate authorities.
11. Modifications to Terms
Teacher Horizons reserves the right to amend these Terms under UK law by providing notice to the Client.
Website Users Terms and Conditions

2. Account Security
Registered Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account details.
3. Content Responsibility
3.1 Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of content they publish on the Website. Teacher Horizons is not responsible for verifying the accuracy of user-generated content.
3.2 Users must not post offensive or unlawful content. Teacher Horizons reserves the right to remove content at its discretion.
3.3 By posting content on the Website, you grant Teacher Horizons a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use the content.
4. Intellectual Property and Legal Compliance
4.1 The Website may contain content subject to intellectual property rights. Users must ensure they have the right to use and publish such content.
4.2 Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the Website.

Jurisdiction
