Why?
In order to celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary, we are going to make a film that showcases some of our community members living all over the world. And we’re hoping you’ll help us!
This April, we are running a competition with $1,000 up for grabs. All you need to do is to submit a film of one minute or less, or a series of photos, that celebrates your life as an international teacher.
What?
The aim is to film a video clip (can be a compilation of video clips and photos) or take photos on your phone, and submit these to us for judging. We’ll be looking for the film that best encapsulates the international teaching experience and all the wonderful things that come with it!
How?
Think of what you want to showcase. Will it be your beautiful school? Your daily commute? The view from your classroom? A local beauty spot? Your favourite street food stall? Or anything else you love as part of your life as an international teacher.
You can record a voiceover, speak directly to camera, or just let the visuals speak for themselves. Just make sure you sell your experience to us! The best films will look good, and will tell a story.
Other things to bear in mind:
- The video can be a compilation/series of video clips and photos
- The film or photos should not feature any students
- Make sure you have any necessary permissions to film
- Please record in landscape (not portrait)
- Only share one video clip or up to five photos.
- Keep the video to between 20-60 seconds
- Make sure the setting is visually appealing!
- Maximum file size 100 MB
- Make sure you feature yourself in the video/photos. (for minimum 10 seconds in the video and in at least 2 of maximum 5 photos)
How to submit?
You can share the video or photos in the following two ways:
1. Post your film or photos on your social media account(s) (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) with the hashtags. (and then attach screenshot of your profile in the registration form)
#th10year
#teacherhorizons
2. Alternatively, you can upload the video clip or your photos(maximum 5) to the registration form. Please add the caption to your video or photos in the filename.
You MUST fill the registration form to be considered for this competition.
