Across classrooms from Nairobi to New Delhi, students are quietly navigating the world with dyslexia, a learning difference that transcends geography, language and culture. Research shows that dyslexia affects up to 10% of the global population and appears across all writing systems, from alphabetic to logographic.

Each October, Dyslexia Awareness Month reminds educators of the importance of early screening, evidence-based teaching and celebrating neurodiversity. With the right support, dyslexic learners can thrive, and every teacher has a role to play in making that possible.
