Mark is an Australian educator who has spent the past 24 years teaching internationally across six locations. After beginning his career in Australia, he took his first international teaching position in the Philippines in 2002 and has since worked in Singapore, China, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
Specialising in Business, Economics, and Social Studies, Mark has primarily taught within the International Baccalaureate programme. Beyond the classroom, he has led a Young Investors Club and coached football.
In recent years, Mark has documented his international teaching journey to help and inspire other educators considering a move overseas. He recently published his first book, Teaching Our Way Around the World, and regularly shares practical advice, insights, and experiences through his website (www.thefootlooseteacher.com) and his YouTube channel (@thefootlooseteacher).
